Responsibility as a Senior Accountant
Reporting directly to the Controller, the Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting activities, including customer invoicing, payroll posting, and monthly reconciliation. You will be instrumental in executing the day-to-day accounting functions, as well as assist with the month end close process.  You will work with internal teams to ensure that all company transactions are recorded, analyzed and reconciled accurately and in a timely manner.

Requirements

You are:

A Certified Public Accountant that has progressive experience in accounting with at least 3 years’ experience. Even better if at a senior level. Your intellectual curiosity coupled with excellent problem-solving and multi-tasking skills prove that you are the one to manage the day-to-day accounting activities while juggling 5 other initiatives at the same time… with ease.

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Maintaining the company's general ledger and subsidiary ledger accounts, including posting and preparing opening, adjusting, and closing journal entries.
  • Preparing financial statements including income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows.
  • Assisting the Controller as needed; working on special projects as management requests.
  • Performing bank and intercompany reconciliations, performing account reconciliations between the general ledger and subsidiary ledger, account reconciliations between the general ledger and financial statements.
  • Maintaining accounts payable, accounts receivable, and intercompany accounts.
  • Posting to the accounting software program (NetSuite); maintaining banking relations.

 

Experience with the following is a plus:

  • Experience with NetSuite accounting ERP system.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Public accounting experience preferred.
  • Management experience preferred.

 

Qualifications:

  • Only Austin, TX based candidates will be considered.
  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3-5+ years of Accounting/Finance experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Intellectual curiosity, problem-solving skills.
  • Highest standards of accuracy, precision and organization.
