Requirements

The Red Book Connect Solution Design Consultant serves as the business and solution experts, provides expertise to prospects and customers and supports the Red Book Connect team in growing the business.  This position ascertains customer requirements, engages in consultative and solutions sales and works with the sales and product teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifies current and future customer business needs and requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers
  • Provides web-based, phone, and in-person customer requirements discovery and analysis
  • Performs product demonstrations , asks questions and understands customer pain points
  • Designs operational and training solutions for potential and actual customers
  • Gains the customer and prospects’ confidence to such a degree that they see you as the solution expert
  • Presents and articulates product features and benefits, as well as product future direction
  • Gains customer acceptance by determining improvements through analyzing cost-benefit ratios of solutions in customer environment; engineering or proposing changes in business processes
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; advising customer on product, service, or equipment adherence to requirements; advising customer on needed actions
  • Maintains industry knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks
  • Contributes to sales effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives
  • Supports marketing activities by attending trade shows and conferences
  • Works with Marketing to determine micro-strategy & product development/bundling  needs
  • Works with Customer Success Managers to ensure customers are maximizing the benefits of Red Book Connect Solutions
  • Creates and contributes to a positive, professional, and fun environment to work in

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in sales/consulting  or similar experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management Preferred
  • Restaurant operations / training experience or experience selling into restaurants
  • High sales aptitude
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills 
  • Strong understanding and ability to articulate new technologies and corresponding value propositions
  • Energetic, creative, organized, and self-motivated individuals
  • Ability to deliver on business commitments
  • Thrive in team environments
